TRUE NORTH

Hello Utah! And other places but probably mostly Utah. Sorry I've been bad at writing blog emails. These past few weeks have been pretty exciting. We had General Conference which was awesome and had great talks from our Prophets and Apostles. It was good for missionary work too because we had quite a few people show up to listen to and watch it.

Here are some cool experiences as well. We stopped at an A&W so my companion could use the bathroom and I was sitting outside when one of the workers walked up to me and asked me what Bible I had. I was carrying a Book of Mormon and told her that was what it was. She then talked about how she met with the missionaries in the Philippines before she came to Canada and has a Book of Mormon at home, we talked some more and we put her in touch with the YSA elders so she can start meeting with them.

I also figured out that I will be going up North to Prince George. I get to take a plane tomorrow to fly up. It is the furthest north in our mission and has a lot of Farmers. So I get to let my redneck side out a little.

President Wong also gave a talk in stake conference last Sunday about missionary work and how it is all of our responsibilities. Being on my mission has certainly taught me that I need to be a missionary still even when I get back. Missionary work is more than preaching the gospel its loving and caring about those who you are serving as well and I know that I have been able to feel Gods love for everybody a lot more while I have been out. I love you all and hope you have a Fantastic Easter! I highly recommend the guided reading for Come Follow Me this week. love -Elder Starkie.
